Welcome Back to School: Exciting Updates Await!

Welcome back to another exciting school year at Fir Ridge! As we gear up for the start of the 2023-2024 academic year, we are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to new and returning students and their families.

Important Schedule Update: We have some important updates to share with you, starting with our school start time. Unfortunately, due to a recent Senate bill, we are required to make a change to our daily schedule. Beginning this year, the school will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. instead of the previously scheduled time of 8:20 a.m. While this change may require adjustments to your morning routine, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for students and families.

Open House Event: We would also like to remind you about our upcoming Open House event just around the corner for you. This event is a fantastic opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, explore our campus, and learn more about the exciting educational journey your child will embark on this year. Our Open House is scheduled for:

• Date: Thursday, September 28
• Time: 4:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Please mark this date on your calendars, and we encourage you to bring your family along to join us for an informative and enjoyable evening. It’s a great chance to connect with teachers, staff, and fellow parents and get a glimpse into the enriching educational environment we offer.

Meet Our New Staff Members: We are excited to introduce four new staff members who have joined our Fir Ridge community:

• Jessica Classen: English Language Arts Teacher
• Amo Reyes: Counselor (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
• Abigail Freimark: Multilingual Support Teacher (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
• Chris Ganow: Special Education Teacher
